“I consider myself a silent storyteller and an intuitive artist; the majority of my work focuses on portraiture. Having no real formal training, I work in a state of flow and allow myself to be lead by the work. I paint daily and rely heavily on this practice for pain relief as it puts my brain into a meditative state.”
Serena Moodley-Anderson, 2022-2023
In 2007, Serena obtained a BA degree in Fashion Design and Marketing from the Design School of Southern Africa. Her artistic efforts have been noticed in and around Johannesburg, where she lives, and she has already amassed a small but faithful following on Instagram, under the handle serenamoodleyanderson. Her artworks are colourful, bold, and thought-provoking, capturing the energy of her subjects in awe-inspiring ways.
